Anthrax’s Frank Bello says he would welcome more Big Four shows

Frank Bello, the bassist for Anthrax, says he would gladly play more shows with Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth as the thrash metal “Big Four.”

The four bands played 14 concerts together in 2010 and 2011, ending with a show at Yankee Stadium in New York.

Their 1980s albums also helped define a period when thrash metal grew in popularity.

Bello says another run would be good for fans, including a generation that has not seen the bands together.

He says the decision is not his and that the bands would wait for a call from Metallica.

Slayer has returned to concerts after stopping in 2019, while Megadeth is on a farewell tour.

The article does not say whether any new Big Four shows are planned.
