Feeney says #88 was slow after 11th-place Bathurst finish

Broc Feeney and co-driver Nick Percat finished 11th in the Bathurst 1000 in the #88 Ford Mustang.

The Triple Eight pair had been expected to challenge, but their car was outside the top 10 in qualifying and struggled for pace throughout the weekend.

Feeney said the car was simply slow, and that brake trouble did not explain all of its difficulties.

The car was delayed by a front brake problem during the race, which Percat said he had to manage until the team could repair it.

Their sister car, driven by Will Brown and Scott Pye, qualified sixth and finished second.

Feeney said the team still had questions about why its car lacked speed.

He heads into the Finals Series as the points leader and has a 25-point bonus for winning the Sprint Cup.
