Cardinals to discuss activating rookie quarterback Carson Beck

The Arizona Cardinals will discuss whether rookie quarterback Carson Beck should be active for their game against the Rams.

Coach Mike LaFleur said the team would talk about the decision on Tuesday.

Beck, a third-round pick, has been inactive, which means he can play only if both starter Jacoby Brissett and backup Gardner Minshew are injured.

Brissett is expected to remain the starter, and Minshew is currently the backup.

The Cardinals have won only two of 17 games with Brissett at quarterback over the past two seasons.

LaFleur said the team could make Beck active if it decides that is best.

An active Beck could be available to play, but the team has not said whether it will make that move.
