Bitdefender tool maps AI software and risks on Windows endpoints
Bitdefender’s GravityZone tool finds AI software on protected Windows devices and shows who is using it and how much risk it may pose.
The tool is designed to find browser-based AI, coding assistants and local AI programs, which may not appear in a standard software inventory.
It also records configured connections to databases, code repositories, internal APIs and third-party model services.
During a risk scan, the GravityZone agent collects metadata about what AI software is present and how it is configured.
Bitdefender says it does not inspect prompts, chat history, credentials or full file contents.
The system recognizes more than 50 AI agents and 70,000 skills, packages that extend an agent’s capabilities.
This can help security teams identify AI use and make filtering decisions based on activity they find, rather than relying only on lists of blocked websites.
