Bears bench Tyson Bagent after second interception in loss to Packers

The Chicago Bears lost to the Green Bay Packers, and coach Ben Johnson replaced quarterback Tyson Bagent in the fourth quarter.

Bagent threw his second interception on the Bears’ final offensive play of the third quarter.

Johnson said Bagent had not found a rhythm and the team wanted to see whether Keenum could provide a spark.

The Bears’ usual starting quarterback, Caleb Williams, is out with a hamstring injury.

Johnson said Williams might be cleared to play against the Atlanta Falcons next week.

The coaching staff will assess the quarterback options during the week.

If Williams is not cleared, the team has not said whether Bagent or Keenum will start.
