Rahul Gandhi says election chief and Modi government will go

Rahul Gandhi said Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the Modi government would go.

He said repairing democracy would begin afterward.

His remarks came amid opposition protests and criticism of the Election Commission.

The dispute matters because it concerns how India’s elections are managed and the government is held to account.
