Asis director general resigns as Trento seeks a successor

Asis director general resigns as Trento seeks a successor

Claudio Alì has resigned as director general of Asis, the agency that manages sports facilities owned by the city of Trento, Italy.

Asis oversees more than 100 sports facilities and is responsible for their operation, maintenance and development.

The agency has opened a selection process for a new director general.

The deadline for applications is October 16, and the handover can take place after the selection process ends.

The outgoing director’s decision is reported to be linked in part to differences with Trento Deputy Mayor Elisabetta Bozzarelli, who is responsible for sport.

Disagreements reportedly included plans for improvements at a sports centre and a football field.

The new director will oversee Asis’s organisational, financial, technical and operational management under a three-year contract that may be renewed.
