Madrid auctions more than 5,600 unclaimed lost items

The items went unclaimed for two years, so Madrid’s lost-property office is putting them up for auction.

They include everyday things such as phones and unusual collectibles, including part of a window from the RMS Olympic, the Titanic’s sister ship.

People anywhere in the world can bid until October 13.

The sale also helps the city deal with a shortage of storage space.
