Amitabh Bachchan celebrated his 84th birthday on October 11 by greeting fans outside his home, Jalsa, in Mumbai.
Large crowds had gathered to see him and wish him well.
Bachchan usually steps outside on Sundays to meet fans who wait near his home.

He waved to the crowd and greeted fans with folded hands as they cheered.
Earlier, he had apologised for keeping fans waiting late into the night and said he would meet them later in the day.
