Brock Purdy joins Josh Allen as co-favorite for NFL MVP

Brock Purdy and Josh Allen are now tied as the betting favorites for the NFL’s Most Valuable Player award.

Both quarterbacks have odds of 3-1 as Week 5 approaches.

Allen, who plays for the Buffalo Bills, had been the sole favorite earlier in the season and won the award in 2024.

Purdy plays for the San Francisco 49ers and has yet to be sacked this season.

He also has the league’s highest passer rating, at 126.3, and has thrown at least two touchdown passes in each of his past four games.

The two quarterbacks have a chance to strengthen their cases this weekend: Purdy and the 49ers face the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, while Allen and the Bills play the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night.

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes are also among the leading contenders.
