BBC has James Blunt remove post promoting suit worn on Celebrity Traitors
Singer James Blunt removed an X post after the BBC contacted him about it.
The post showed him in a £1,695 tweed suit and linked to the Cotswolds tailor that supplied it.
Blunt wore the suit in the opening episode of Celebrity Traitors, a BBC television show.
BBC rules say its talent must not use BBC programmes or brands to promote products.
The tailor said it had no formal commercial relationship with Blunt and no prior agreement for him to wear the suit on the show.
It did not say whether he paid for the suit or received it as a gift.
The post was removed after the BBC spoke to those involved.
