Eumseong stream walkway renovation aims for December completion
Eumseong County in South Korea is renovating a roughly 330-metre covered stretch of Eumseong Stream, between Sujeong Bridge and Eumseong Bridge.
The county says the project is nearing completion and is scheduled to be finished in December.
It has spent 1.7 billion won to turn the dim, plain passage into a more welcoming place for residents.
The plans include a rest area, an open gallery and a play space for children.
The county has finished civil engineering and landscaping work and recently began electrical work.
New lighting is intended to make the route pleasant to walk through at night.
The project also includes CCTV, improvements to drainage and measures to reduce bad smells.
