KENTECH licenses liquefied hydrogen engineering know-how for 500 million won
The Korea Institute of Energy Technology, known as KENTECH, has signed a technology-use agreement with Korea Electric Power Engineering.
The deal is worth 500 million won, excluding value-added tax.
It covers engineering know-how for facilities that produce, store, transport and supply liquefied hydrogen.
The know-how brings together design standards and ways to assess equipment connections, operating plans, safety and cost.
It also includes experience from building demonstration facilities and checking their safety and economic viability.
Korea Electric Power Engineering plans to use the know-how in liquefied hydrogen research and related engineering projects in South Korea.
KENTECH says it will transfer the technology so its research can be used in industrial infrastructure projects.
KENTECH has signed a technology-use agreement with Korea Engineering Consultants Corp. worth 500 million won, excluding value-added tax.
The agreement covers engineering know-how for liquefied hydrogen plants and infrastructure systems.
The know-how integrates the design of liquefied hydrogen production, storage, transport and supply facilities.
It also covers demonstration-facility construction, safety reviews and economic assessments.
Korea Engineering Consultants plans to use the know-how in domestic liquefied hydrogen research and development and related engineering projects.
