British Airways to add 106 business-class suites to its A380s
British Airways is refitting the cabins of its Airbus A380 aircraft.
The updated planes will have 106 business-class suites across the upper deck, which the airline says will be the world’s largest business-class cabin.
The work also includes new galleys and staircases, with more than 35,000 parts installed on each aircraft.
British Airways has 12 A380s, a large aircraft type that many airlines moved away from after the pandemic.
Airbus stopped making the A380 in 2021, but British Airways says the plane remains important to its fleet.
The refit also includes 12 first-class suites, which the airline had previously announced.
The first updated A380 is expected to enter service in the coming months, though the first-class suite debut could slip into next year.
