PEC Zwolle dismisses coach Henry van der Vegt
PEC Zwolle has dismissed coach Henry van der Vegt with immediate effect.
The Dutch club said the 54-year-old would leave because it saw too little stability and progress on the pitch.
PEC had lost six of its first eight league games and was 16th in the Eredivisie standings.
Its 1-0 home defeat to fellow low-ranked side SC Cambuur on Sunday was the latest setback.
Van der Vegt had led the team since summer 2025, after six years as an assistant coach.
Assistant coaches Dennis van der Ree and Maikel van der Werff will take charge for now.
They are due to lead PEC when it hosts regional rival Go Ahead Eagles on Sunday.

The club announced the decision on Tuesday morning, making him the first Eredivisie coach dismissed this season.
Zwolle had lost six of its first eight league matches and was 16th in the standings.
Technical director Gerry Hamstra said the club saw too little stability and development on the sporting side.
Assistant coaches Dennis van der Ree and Maikel van der Werff will take charge for now.
