Anime turns an overpowered mage into a power-fantasy comedy

Rein is fired from his guild and decides to adventure on his own.

He takes back the bonus points he spent improving his former teammates’ weapons and uses them on everyday-looking gear.

The gear becomes so powerful that enemies are quickly defeated.

The anime makes fun of power-fantasy stories by treating their usual dramatic setup as comedy.
