‘The Pitt’ and ‘All Her Fault’ win inaugural disability representation awards

The inaugural Easterseals Disability Arts & Culture Awards honored work that presents disability authentically across film, television and media.

The ceremony took place at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on Saturday.

“The Pitt” won awards for best scripted series and casting ensemble.

Daniel Monks won best performance in a scripted series for “All Her Fault,” while “Horsegirls” won best feature.

Geri Jewell received the Legacy Award, and Vincent Rutley received the Christopher Reeve Emerging Talent Award.

The awards aim to recognize disabled artists and storytellers and encourage greater inclusion on screen and behind the scenes.

The ceremony will air on PBS SoCal Plus on Nov.

17 and Nov.

20, and will also be available on the PBS app.
