Eagles to release veteran quarterback Andy Dalton

The Eagles are releasing Andy Dalton, a veteran quarterback they acquired in a trade.

He had started the season as Jalen Hurts’ backup but was later moved down the depth chart.

Tanner McKee and Cole Payton will now be Hurts’ backups.

The move ends Dalton’s time with Philadelphia and could lead him to another NFL team.
