Blackyak signs five-year Japan distribution and licensing deal
South Korean outdoor brand Blackyak has signed a five-year exclusive distribution and licensing deal with Japanese fashion and household goods company Chiffon.
The agreement gives Blackyak access to Chiffon’s distribution network in Japan.
Sales are set to begin next February with Blackyak’s high-performance DNS collection.
Trekking and trail-running products will follow, and the brand plans to expand into outdoor and sports shops from next autumn and winter.
Blackyak and Chiffon also plan to release products they develop together for Japanese tastes during the coming year.
The deal is part of Blackyak’s wider effort to grow its business in overseas markets.
