Jordanian father of two among 12 killed in Riyadh airport attack

Mahmoud Hussein Al-Barqawi, a 33-year-old Jordanian father of two, was among 12 people killed in a Houthi attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

He had lived and worked in Saudi Arabia for nearly two years, supporting his family by working at a café.

His family said they learned of his death late at night through his friends in the Kingdom.

Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates later confirmed his death.

The airport attack also injured 309 people, according to Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation.

Those killed included citizens of Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Jordan, Egypt, the United States, Syria, Palestine and Sudan.

His death has left his two young children without their father and his family grieving.

The sources do not say what will happen next.
