Prosecutors appeal convictions of Sánchez’s brother and former PSOE leader

Prosecutors say the court did not present enough evidence to prove that David Sánchez or Miguel Ángel Gallardo committed a crime.

They have appealed convictions that gave Sánchez nine years and Gallardo 18 years of disqualification from public office.

The case concerns the hiring of Sánchez at Badajoz provincial council in 2017.

The appeal asks a higher court to overturn the ruling.
