Yuka scores to appear on more French shopping websites
Yuka scores will appear on more French shopping websites, giving online shoppers information that was previously easiest to access by scanning products in stores.
Intermarché already displays the scores, while Carrefour plans to add them to its own-brand products in October 2026 and to national brands later.
Yuka rates food and personal-care products out of 100, and its food score combines nutrition, additives and organic status.
The app says nutrition accounts for 60% of a food score, additives 30%, and organic status can add 10%.
The scores are intended to help shoppers assess products, and retailers and brands cannot limit the display to highly rated items.
More beauty websites will add Yuka scores, including Aroma-Zone and SVR by the end of 2026.
Picard and Naturalia have committed to adding scores in early 2027, while Bioocoop plans to do so by the end of 2026.
