Lions honor announcer Dan Miller after his wife dies of cancer

Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell honored team radio announcer Dan Miller after the Lions beat the Arizona Cardinals 45-21 in Glendale.

Miller’s wife, Cindy, died at 63 on Saturday after battling cancer.

The couple had been married for 33 years and had four children and two grandchildren.

Miller was not at the game, and Detroit Tigers announcer Jason Benetti filled in for him on the broadcast.

Campbell gave Miller and his family an honorary game ball, while quarterback Jared Goff also shared condolences.

Miller has called Lions games for more than two decades and is described by the team as an important part of its culture.
