Waseda ranks first among private universities in Japan survey

The ranking compares universities using measures of education and research, job outcomes, finances and international activity.

Waseda came first among private universities, with Keio second and Toyota Technological Institute third.

The ranking is based on comparable data, not entrance-exam scores.

It offers one way to assess universities beyond how hard they are to enter.
