Reporter finds homophobic slurs have returned at her former school

Anouk Jongenelen went back to her old school to see whether it was still tolerant.

She found that students were again using “gay” as an insult.

She says some parents keep their children home around Purple Friday, a day focused on acceptance of LGBTQ+ people.

Her report raises questions about how attitudes at the school have changed.
