Jama Masjid Trustee Urges Leaders to Stop Provocative Politics

Shuaib Khatib, a trustee of the Jama Masjid in Mumbai, has asked leaders to stop making statements that make young people angry and cause riots.

He said that some leaders tell young people, who are often not well-educated or have jobs, to protest, but these leaders do not send their own children to protest.

Khatib gave an example of a woman who said she would 'paint the area green,' which made people think she was trying to cause trouble between different religious groups.

He also talked about a past event called the 'I love Muhammad' campaign, where speeches led to riots and many young people were arrested.

Khatib said that these young people face a difficult future because of these charges and asked leaders to stop this kind of politics.
