Prashant Kishor meets SSP over jail death of Roshan Yadav

A young man named Roshan Yadav, who was 19 years old, died inside a jail in Madhubani, Bihar, in India.

The police said he ended his own life by hanging himself.

But his family did not believe that story.

They said he might have been hurt or killed by someone else, and they pointed to marks on his body.

Roshan's mother and sister had visited him in jail just a few days before and said he seemed normal.

A leader named Prashant Kishor went to talk to the senior police officer to ask for a fair investigation.

The officer promised to look into every part of the case within ten days.

He also said the top district official would check what happened, following guidelines from a government rights body.

Kishor also asked why the family was not properly told about the arrest and why Roshan was not taken before a judge.

The family hopes to get justice for Roshan.
