Jharkhand CM Soren pledges justice, says vested interests disrupt democracy

In a place called Jharkhand, many students are upset about exams that decide who gets government jobs.

They think something unfair happened with those exams.

The students have been protesting for more than two weeks.

Some students are on a hunger strike, which means they refuse to eat until they get answers.

The leader of the state is Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

He promised the students they will get fair treatment and that everything will be done openly.

He said problems should be solved by talking, not by fighting or using force.

He also said some people with hidden plans are trying to cause trouble in the state.

He asked people not to use the students' protest for politics and not to trick the young students.

The government and the students have already met six times to talk in the city of Ranchi, and Mr. Soren said anyone who cheated in the exams will face strict punishment.
