Chhattisgarh Agriculture University Seeks Probe Into Fresh Paper Leak
A university in Chhattisgarh is checking whether one of its exam papers was leaked.
The paper was for a subject called Fundamentals of Genetics.
Students took the exam on August 19 at 28 agricultural colleges.
A newspaper reported that the questions and answers may have been available before the test.
The newspaper sent the university a PDF connected to the allegation.
A university committee examined envelopes that had held the papers.
It said several envelopes showed signs that someone may have tampered with them.
Police are now investigating the complaint.
Two other agriculture exams had already been cancelled after similar leak allegations.
Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya has sought a police probe into an alleged leak of the APB-5121 Fundamentals of Genetics paper.
The exam was held on August 19 across 28 agricultural colleges in Chhattisgarh.
The allegation emerged after a Hindi-language newspaper published a report and shared a PDF of alleged questions and answers with the university.
A five-member university committee found apparent tampering in several returned question-paper envelopes, including the Genetics paper’s envelope.
Telibandha police received the report, PDF, original paper and committee findings, and an investigation is underway.
