DICV Anchors New ISEAA Region as India Expands Role
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, or DICV, is taking a bigger role in Daimler Truck’s regional business.
It will lead a new area called ISEAA.
ISEAA includes India, South-East Asia and Australia-Pacific.
BharatBenz trucks and buses are made for customers in India.
Mercedes-Benz Trucks serves customers in the other markets and in some global markets.
DICV has already exported many vehicles and parts around the world.
The company also plans to invest about ₹4,000 crore more in Tamil Nadu.
It is preparing new safety systems for trucks and buses as Indian safety rules develop.
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles will anchor Daimler Truck’s new ISEAA customer region.
The region covers India, South-East Asia and Australia-Pacific under the Mercedes-Benz Trucks segment.
DICV has exported more than 75,000 trucks and buses and over 330 million parts to more than 70 markets.
The company plans to invest approximately ₹4,000 crore more in Tamil Nadu, taking cumulative Indian investment above ₹14,500 crore.
BharatBenz is preparing Advanced Driver Assistance Systems for Indian operating conditions and upcoming safety regulations.
