Prime Suspect Arrested in Guduvanchery Suitcase Murder Case
Police found pieces of a person inside a suitcase on a train.
The suitcase was discovered at Agra Cantonment railway station on August 5.
Investigators followed clues on the suitcase and watched more than 350 CCTV recordings.
This led them to a house in Guduvanchery near Chennai.
Police believe the remains may belong to Hayathun Nisha, who had been reported missing.
They also found more remains inside the house.
Manikuddin Laskar was arrested in Manipur, while his wife is reported to remain missing from police custody.
Police are still investigating what happened and why.
The victim’s head has not yet been found.
Police arrested 22-year-old Manikuddin Laskar in Jiribam district, Manipur, over human remains found on the Tamil Nadu Express.
A red suitcase containing decomposed, headless human remains was discovered at Agra Cantonment railway station on August 5.
CCTV footage and plastic packaging linked the suitcase to Chennai, where a couple allegedly transported and abandoned it.
Police recovered additional remains from the couple’s rented premises in Guduvanchery, packed inside a large biryani vessel.
Investigators suspect the victim was Hayathun Nisha; her head remains missing, and the motive has not been conclusively established.
