Collector and SP unveil Martyr Jawan Murali Naik statue
A brave soldier named Murali Naik gave his life to protect his country.
He was from a small village in India.
He died while guarding the border between India and Pakistan.
The place where he fought is called the Line of Control.
His town built a statue to remember him.
Important leaders unveiled the statue in a ceremony.
They put flowers on it to show respect.
They said his bravery will inspire young people.
They also promised to take care of his family.
Now everyone can remember what a hero he was.
District Collector A Shyam Prasad and SP Satish Kumar unveiled the statue of Martyr Jawan Murali Naik at Shilparamam, Puttaparthi.
Murali Naik, a native of Kalli Thanda in Gorantla mandal, Sri Sathya Sai district, laid down his life defending the nation's borders.
He made the ultimate sacrifice on May 9, 2025, while countering firing by Pakistani forces at the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Collector said his courage, valor and patriotism would inspire the district's youth and assured full government support to the martyr's family.
SP Satish Kumar said citizens remain safe because of the tireless efforts of soldiers at the borders; officials, Army representatives, family members and locals attended the ceremony.
