BJP MP Anil Baluni announced plans to convert Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat’s ancestral home into a modern museum.
The home is located in Baryun village in Uttarakhand’s Pauri Garhwal district.
Baluni said he would perform Bhoomi Pujan for the museum on November 17.
Rawat served with the 4th Battalion of the Garhwal Rifles during the 1962 Sino-India War.
Rawat was posthumously awarded the Mahavir Chakra for his actions during the Battle of Nuranang.
