Congress Reserves 60% of Nominated Posts for Loyal Workers
The Congress party in India made a new rule about some of its special jobs.
In this rule, six out of every ten nominated jobs will go to people who have worked for the party for a long time.
These jobs include being directors of agricultural banks and members of market committees.
The rule was decided at a big party meeting in New Delhi.
A leader from Hanamkonda named Engala Venkatram Reddy said this was a great and historic decision.
He said the party should reward workers who stayed loyal even when times were hard.
The party also promised to include people from many different groups, like women, minorities, and certain communities.
The leader thanked many senior party members for making this happen.
He said the decision made party workers across Telangana happy and proud.
The AICC reserved 60 per cent of nominated posts for leaders and grassroots workers who remained loyal to the Congress during difficult times.
Hanamkonda DCC president Engala Venkatram Reddy (also reported as Inagala Venkatram Reddy) hailed the decision as historic on Friday.
Priority goes to former mandal presidents, district executive committee members, leaders of frontal or affiliated organisations and senior constituency leaders.
The quota covers nominated posts including PACS directors, PACS chairpersons and Market Committee members.
The decision also provides representation for SCs, STs, BCs, minorities and women in the nomination process, and was welcomed by Telangana leaders.
