Madhya Pradesh Begins Late Training For New Class 7 Syllabus
Madhya Pradesh has introduced new books for Class 7 students.
However, teacher training for these books began only after nearly half the school year had passed.
The State Education Centre is holding five-day residential programmes for master trainers.
The main subjects are mathematics, science and social science.
The first three days will focus on these subjects.
The final two days will cover topics such as mental health, ethics, coding and artificial intelligence.
These master trainers will then teach other teachers at the district level.
This is meant to help teachers understand the new books and teaching methods.
The School Education Department has started training teachers for new Class 7 textbooks nearly halfway through the 2026-27 academic session.
The State Education Centre has planned a five-day residential programme for mathematics, science and social science master trainers.
Training will be conducted in four phases from October 5 to November 6.
The new textbooks were prepared by NCERT under the National Education Policy 2020 and National Curriculum Framework for School Education 2023.
Master trainers will later train district-level teachers, with sessions also covering joyful learning, mental health, ethics, coding and artificial intelligence.
