A new report looked at the richest business families in India.

The Ambani family is still the richest family in the whole country.

Even though their fortune shrank a little bit, they still have a huge amount of money.

The Adani family has the most money among families that built their business from the very start.

These are called first-generation business families.

Sunil Bharti Mittal and Kumar Mangalam Birla are also on the list with very large fortunes.

All together, India's top family businesses are worth an enormous amount of money.

If they were their own country, they would be the 18th biggest economy in the world.

The report also found that some families grew very fast, like the Ahuja family and the Jindal family.

The report is called the 2026 Barclays Private Clients Hurun India list of most valuable family businesses.
