Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay visited the United Kingdom for six days.

He led a delegation that met companies and officials to encourage investment in Tamil Nadu.

The state government said agreements and commitments worth Rs 15,300 crore were secured.

An earlier report gave a lower figure of about Rs 12,300 crore.

The projects are expected to create more than 10,000 jobs.

They include work in car parts, technology, renewable energy and electrical equipment.

Vijay also visited Silverstone Circuit because Tamil Nadu plans to build a Motor Sports City.

A meeting with Tamil Nadu supporters in London was canceled because police raised safety concerns.

Vijay returned to Chennai on Thursday morning.
