Nalasopara Sakhi Centre Offers 24/7 Support for Women
A new support service in Nalasopara is helping women in dangerous or difficult situations.
It is called the Sakhi One Stop Centre.
Women can get medical help, police assistance and counselling there.
They can also receive free legal guidance.
The centre can help women report violence and take part in court proceedings.
Women and their children may stay there safely for up to five days if needed.

The Sakhi One Stop Centre in Nalasopara will assist women facing domestic violence, sexual assault and other crises.
The centre provides 24-hour medical and police assistance, counselling, legal aid and support with complaints or court proceedings.
Women and their children may receive temporary accommodation for up to five days, along with food and drinking water.
The Maharashtra government has established 68 Sakhi Centres across the state.
According to the report, 26,909 women received assistance through the centres between 2023–24 and July 2026.
