Uttar Pradesh Signs Insurance Agreement for School Meal Cooks
Uttar Pradesh signed an agreement to help protect cooks who prepare meals in schools.
The agreement gives each cook accidental insurance assistance of ₹2 lakh.
It was signed in front of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Officials from the education department and State Bank of India exchanged the agreement.
The event also showed a film about the PM POSHAN, or Mid-Day Meal, Scheme.
Eleven cooks received medical cards, uniform kits and cheques related to their increased honorarium.
Children explained an education initiative to the Chief Minister, and some students took selfies with him.
He also fed kheer to two babies during their annaprashan ceremony.
An MoU was signed in Lucknow under the Cook Social Security initiative.
