Telangana teaching doctors urge PMCA and AIIMS pay scales

A group of doctors who teach at government medical colleges in Telangana met with an important official.

The group is called TTGDA.

The meeting happened in Hyderabad on August 5.

The doctors asked for a special allowance for those teaching in smaller, distant medical colleges.

They also want to be paid on the same scale as doctors at AIIMS, which are top government hospitals.

They asked for a new job system called Designated Professor to be started, which has been waiting for almost eight years.

They want their pending promotions to be completed quickly.

They also asked that all open job positions be announced so doctors can choose where they want to work.

This meeting was about solving problems the doctors have wanted fixed for a long time.
