BJP MLAs Seek Governor’s Intervention for Adivasi Housing Pattas
BJP lawmakers met the Governor to discuss a problem faced by tribal families.
About 500 families in an Adilabad colony have lived there for nearly 30 years.
They do not have official papers proving they have rights to their house sites.
Without these papers, it is harder for them to receive government help.
They also face problems getting electricity and safe drinking water.
The lawmakers asked officials to investigate the situation.
They want eligible families to receive housing-site pattas, or title deeds.
The Governor said he would bring the matter to the state government.
A BJP leader warned that a protest could happen if there is no solution within a month.
A BJP delegation led by Payal Shankar met Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Lok Bhavan.
The delegation requested housing-site pattas for approximately 500 Adivasi families in Adilabad.
Families in Komaram Bheem colony reportedly have lived without recognised house-site rights for nearly 30 years.
The lack of pattas has affected access to welfare schemes, electricity and safe drinking water.
Shankar warned of a Secretariat protest with 2,000 families if the issue is not resolved within a month.
