Telangana Food Commission Orders Better Ration, Nutrition Delivery

Officials in Adilabad were told to make sure eligible families receive their ration and nutritious food.

The meeting was led by Food Commission Chairman Goli Srinivas Reddy.

He said the food-security law must be followed properly.

Officials also inspected schools and hostels for tribal welfare students.

They found problems with meal times, menus, kitchen cleanliness, and supervision.

Pregnant women, nursing mothers, and children must receive special food and care.

Children should get items such as milk, eggs, and Balamrut through Anganwadi centers.

The district supplies thousands of tons of rice each month through ration shops.

Officials were told to improve monitoring and make it easier for people to complain.
