Muslim mob attacks Kanwar Yatra, 3 Hindus killed in Nepal
In late July, a Hindu religious procession in Nepal’s Sunsari district was stopped by a Muslim mob because of a disagreement over a DJ music system.
The clash turned violent, and police fired shots that killed three Hindus.
About 24 people were hurt.
The government put curfews in several towns, used police and army to control the crowds, and promised money to the families of the dead and injured.
The Prime Minister said the government was taking the matter seriously and would investigate the attackers.
