Kataria Surveys Waterlogged Chandigarh After 73mm Rainfall
Heavy rain fell on Chandigarh and caused problems in several places.
About 73 millimetres of rain left some areas underwater.
The rain also damaged some roads.
On Wednesday, Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria visited the affected areas.
He travelled in a Chandigarh Transport Undertaking bus with senior officials.
They looked at places including several sectors, Jagatpura, Tribune Chowk and Bapu Dham.
Kataria asked officials to repair damaged roads quickly.
He also told them to clear things blocking roads and coordinate their work.
The goal was to make travel safer and reduce trouble for residents.

Kataria directed officials to begin immediate repairs and remove obstructions.
