Madhya Pradesh Plans Up To 10% Agniveer Quota
Madhya Pradesh wants to reserve some government uniformed-service jobs for Agniveers.
Agniveers are people who complete four years in the Indian Armed Forces.
The proposed reservation could be as high as 10 percent.
It would apply to jobs in the police, jail, forest, excise and transport departments.
Some existing job allocations for Home Guards and ex-servicemen would change.
The first Agniveer group is expected to finish its service between December 2026 and January 2027.
The state may begin related recruitment in January or February.
The plan still needs final approval from the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet.
