India, Morocco Strengthen Naval Ties
The Indian Navy Chief, Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, welcomed the Moroccan Navy's Rear Admiral Mohamed Tahin to India.
They had a special ceremony with soldiers standing in honor.
They talked about how to work together better, share information, and keep the seas safe.
Earlier this year, an Indian Navy ship, INS Tamal, visited Morocco.
The ship and its crew did many activities with the Moroccan Navy, like sports and cultural events.
They also had talks with important military leaders.
India's ambassador to Morocco was there too.
All these meetings and visits help India and Morocco become better friends and work together more effectively.
The Moroccan official also visited important naval places in India, like Kochi, to learn more about how the Indian Navy works.
Rear Admiral Mohamed Tahin of the Royal Moroccan Navy visited India from November 24-27 to strengthen maritime cooperation with India.
He held a bilateral meeting with Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, focusing on enhancing naval engagement, structured training exchanges, and collaboration in maritime domain awareness.
The visit included a ceremonial Guard of Honour and a wreath-laying at the National War Memorial.
Rear Admiral Tahin also visited key maritime establishments such as IFC–IOR, WESEE, and the Southern Naval Command at Kochi.
Earlier, INS Tamal visited Casablanca in August, engaging in bilateral discussions, cultural exchanges, and sports activities with the Moroccan Navy.
