India Gold, Silver Prices Today: Latest Rates Across Major Cities

Gold and silver are precious metals that people in India buy as jewellery and savings.

On August 14, 2026, shops in big Indian cities showed the daily prices for these metals.

Gold comes in two main types: 24-karat, which is the purest form, and 22-karat, which is stronger and mostly used for jewellery.

In Delhi, 24-karat gold cost ₹1,53,740 for 10 grams, while in Chennai it cost a little more.

Most other cities, such as Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Hyderabad, had the same price of ₹1,53,590 for 10 grams.

Silver cost ₹2,54,900 per kilogram in most cities, and a little more in Hyderabad and Chennai.

Big jewellery shops like Tanishq, Malabar Gold & Diamonds and Joyalukkas shared their per-gram rates, which were very close to each other.

A market expert named Vandana Bharti said gold might go up to ₹1.48 lakh within one or two weeks, even though it had recently fallen.
