Over 2,500 Join Tiranga Yatra in Neemuch Before Independence Day
People in a city called Neemuch got together for a very special walk.
They all carried the Indian flag, which is called the Tiranga.
More than 2,500 people joined this big flag march.
It happened just before India's Independence Day, a day when the country celebrates being free.
The walk started at a memorial for brave soldiers and other places in the city.
Children, parents, shopkeepers and even city leaders walked together through the streets.
They shouted happy words like 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Vande Mataram' to show love for their country.
At the end of the walk, everyone sang the national anthem and thanked old soldiers for their service.
The march was a way to remember the freedom fighters who helped India become free and to bring everyone together.
More than 2,500 people joined the district-level Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh, on Thursday ahead of Independence Day.
The procession began from the Martyrs' Memorial, Gyan Mandir College and Dussehra Ground.
Participants carried the national flag and raised slogans including Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Mataram along major city roads.
MLAs Dilip Singh Parihar, Omprakash Saklecha and Madhav Maru, BJP district president Vandana Khandelwal, Collector Himanshu Chandra and SP Rajesh Vyas joined the march.
At the concluding point, social worker Arul Ashok Arora showered flowers on participants, and at Bharat Mata Square the crowd performed the Bharat Mata Aarti, sang the national anthem and honoured veterans.
