NCRTC Proposes Four New RRTS Corridors
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has submitted plans for four new high-speed train routes in the Delhi-NCR area.
These routes are meant to make travel faster and easier between different cities.
Right now, there's only one route like this that's already working, which goes from Delhi to Ghaziabad and then to Meerut.
The new routes will connect Delhi to Karnal, Delhi to Bawal, Bawal to Behror, and Ghaziabad to the Noida International Airport.
A government minister shared this news in a written statement.
These new routes are expected to help businesses and make travel more convenient, but some people are worried about how they might affect the environment.
NCRTC submitted DPRs for four new Namo Bharat RRTS corridors.
Current operational corridor is the 82.15 km Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut route.
New corridors proposed: Delhi-Karnal, Delhi-Bawal, Bawal-Behror, Ghaziabad-Noida International Airport.
Project aims to expand high-speed regional transit and improve connectivity.
