Panvel Schools Hold Rallies, Rangoli Competitions Under 'Har Ghar Tiranga'
India's Independence Day is coming soon, and some schools in a place called Panvel are celebrating early.
They joined a big campaign called 'Har Ghar Tiranga,' which means a flag in every home.
Students walked in flag parades and cheered for their country.
They made colourful rangoli designs with the Indian flag's colours.
Some schools put up exhibitions about the flag.
Four schools did these activities on Wednesday.
Teachers, principals and city leaders helped the children.
A city official told everyone to put the flag on their houses.
He also asked them to take selfies with the flag and share them online.
That way, everyone can feel proud of India together.
Schools across the Panvel Municipal Corporation area are holding patriotic activities under the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign ahead of Independence Day.
Six activities were organised across four schools on Wednesday, including Tricolour rallies, rangoli competitions and exhibitions.
Participating schools included Loknete Ramsheth Thakur English Medium School, St Joseph High School, CKT School and MNR School of Excellence.
The activities are guided by PMC Commissioner Mangesh Chitale to foster respect for the flag and national responsibility among students.
PMC Transport Manager Kailas Gawde urged citizens to hoist the Tricolour at home and share selfies on harghartiranga.com with the hashtag #SelfieWithTiranga.
